In 1955, a young visionary arrived in Kuwait with empty pockets, an unwavering spirit, and a dream. That man was Mohammed Hussain — affectionately remembered across Kuwait and India as Babu Bhai.

Starting from humble beginnings with a small roadside stall, Babu Bhai's passion for authentic craftsmanship and dedication to his community quickly struck a chord. Through tireless struggle and determination, within just six months, he opened the very first dedicated saree showroom in Kuwait.

Over the decades, through unmatched quality and deep trust, that single showroom expanded into a thriving network of 7 stores across the country.

Resilience Through Every Era

When the Gulf War struck, like many, we lost everything we had built overnight. But the spirit of Mohammadi Saree House could not be erased.

Months after the war ended, Babu Bhai returned to Kuwait to start once again from absolute scratch. Built on decades of customer love and resilience, we rebuilt our foundation — eventually establishing two grand flagship showrooms in Kuwait.

Carrying the Flame into 2026 and Beyond

From 1965 to 2026, for over six decades, Mohammadi Saree House has remained Kuwait's premier destination for fine Indian ethnic wear.
